Amsterdam’s medical messaging app Siilo officially joins forces with Doctolib and rebrands as Doctolib Siilo

Amsterdam-based Siilo, a medical messaging app designed to help medical professionals and teams collaborate, has undergone a global rebranding to become Doctolib Siilo, including in the Netherlands and Belgium.

This development comes after Siilo was acquired in 2023 by Doctolib.

Paris-based Doctolib is a platform that helps make appointments with specialist doctors nearby, With this rebranding, Siilo can leverage Doctolib’s innovation and leadership.

Commitment to healthcare professionals and patient care

Founded in 2016 by Arvind Rao and Joost Bruggeman, Siilo addresses the challenges faced by healthcare professionals in coordinating patient care. 

Initially created to streamline communication, Siilo prioritises patient data security. Evolving into a platform, the platform connects healthcare professionals, enhances workflow, and facilitates knowledge access. 

With 550,000 verified members, Siilo aims to support healthcare professionals globally for improved patient care.

The integration of Siilo with Doctolib foresees future enhancements through the utilisation of Doctolib’s advanced technological resources.

Currently, Doctolib supports more than 900,000 professional users and serves 80 million people across Europe. With a team of 2,800 members and offices in over 30 cities, Doctolib aims to bring its innovation to the Benelux region, leveraging Siilo’s presence there.

The company also facilitates quicker access to treatment for patients by enabling them to find suitable doctors and book appointments with professionals, clinics, and hospitals.
