Technologies for railways

According to a statement from SP Tech Solutions, rail freight transport is crucial, involving intricate logistics beyond scheduling and ensuring the availability of qualified personnel.

European road carriers annually cover vast distances to transport train drivers, incurring significant costs and highlighting the need for optimisation. This is where SP Tech Solutions looks to make a difference.

Founded in 2019 by Michal Pawlowski and Piotr Sikorski, the Polish company introduces the Raily system, a suite of tools addressing complex logistical challenges in rail freight transport.

CEO Sikorski says, “Years of first-hand experience in the rail industry gave us a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by the transportation sector.”

“When founding SP Tech Solutions in 2019, we focused specifically on employee transportation, and by constantly studying the needs of the market, we have expanded our functionality and offerings over the years, creating a comprehensive Raily system to support optimisation of trip planning, reduction of operating costs and automation of business processes.”

“The Raily system, encompassing Raily Taxi, Raily Cargo, and Raily Marketplace, is a comprehensive suite of solutions for the railway industry.”

Raily Taxi streamlines and optimises crew transportation, while Raily Cargo employs advanced business intelligence for integrated resource management and freight planning.

As for Raily Marketplace, it provides a platform for booking traction services, including train inspections and hiring qualified locomotive drivers for specific routes.

Capital utilisation

SP Tech Solutions will use the funds to fuel advancements in Raily’s technology and workforce expansion, particularly in the IT department.

Focusing on strengthening its presence in the Polish and German markets, the company also aims to expand into more Western European countries.

Since 2019, the company claims to have witnessed remarkable growth, serving major Polish and German companies like Lotos Kolej, PKP Cargo, and Olavion. SP Tech Solutions’ revenues soared to over 40M Zloty in 2023, a tenfold increase in just two years.
