Amsterdam-based Stippl, an all-in-one travel app, announced that it has secured €575K in funding. The funding came from Australia’s Marbruck Investments and Volve Capital from the Netherlands.

Joost Bijlsma, Partner at Volve Capital, says, “Investing in travel apps means backing the journey of exploration and discovery of their community. Stippl redefines traveller’s experiences, turning aspirations into seamless itineraries.”

“Volve Capital is very excited about the future of Stippl, and the opportunities offered by this new release, enabling a one-stop-shop for travel planning and discovery.”

Capital utilisation

With this funding, Stippl aims to transform AI-driven travel planning. Combining generative AI with innovative tools and a thriving travel community, the company seeks to offer personalised experiences.

Additionally, the company’s goal is to reach one million users by the end of 2024, while also introducing new subscription services and personalised photo books to expand their business models.

Luuk Verhoeven, CEO of Stippl, says, “In the following years, we really want to cement our position as the leading travel app.”

- A message from our partner -

“With Stippl we intend to enhance the travel experience for all travellers worldwide, from the moment they start planning to relive their cherished memories. This new funding allows us to expand the Stippl team and work towards new heights.”

Making travel planning simple

Founded in 2022 by Luuk Verhoeven, Omar Sheshtawy, and Robin van Rijn, Stippl aims to simplify travel planning and replace Microsoft Excel as the most used travel planner globally.

Stippl helps users in planning comprehensive journeys, including accommodation, transportation, activities, and more.

It facilitates booking accommodations via platforms like Booking.com, organising transportation, and discovering tours and activities through GetYourGuide.com.

The launch of its accompanying app in 2023, coupled with features like travel video creation utilising photos, reels, and social profiles, has propelled its user base to a quarter of a million across 160 countries. This has doubled the company’s annual target.

Stippl caters to all travellers, including those who travel professionally. Content creators can use the app to plan, share itineraries, and engage with their audience through the updated “Discovery” section. This enhances their reach and allows them to generate additional income.

Besides travellers, Stippl is also available for travel bloggers and influencers, hotels, and Destination Marketing Organisations. Stippl is available on IOS, Android and via website. Both are free of charge and sync automatically.

In January 2023, the Dutch travel platform secured €400K to accelerate global expansion. Before that, in December 2022, Stippl had raised €400K.
