Conceptboard: Collaboration tool for digital teamwork
Founded in 2010, Conceptboard provides a secure, GDPR-compliant online whiteboard for public sector organisations and security-critical enterprises.
The collaboration tool allows teams to work together visually in real-time, no matter where they are or what device they’re using.
This online whiteboard meets privacy regulations and is ISO 27001 certified, making it ideal for hybrid teams. It simplifies workflows with interactive features and easily connects to project management tools, ensuring a smooth process while keeping data secure.
“The demand for GDPR-compliant collaboration solutions is growing rapidly. Public institutions, in particular, require alternatives to US-based providers,” says Helmut Schmitz, CEO of Conceptboard.
Conceptboard is designed for organisations that require high data protection, including:
- Government agencies and ministries in Germany and Europe
- Industries that prioritise security, such as insurance, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and high-tech sectors
These organisations need secure alternatives to US-based platforms.
Notable clients of Conceptboard include Vaillant Group, Siemens AG, Deutsche Bahn, SEW-Eurodrive, and EnBW, as well as banks like LBBW and insurers like R+V Versicherung.
Many public institutions use Conceptboard, including the city governments of Kiel and Munich, along with over 100 other municipalities in Germany.
Federal ministries and agencies, such as DRV Bund and ITZ Bund, and various state ministries in North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony-Anhalt, Baden-Württemberg, and Berlin also trust the platform.
Internationally, the UK Ministry of Defence and government agencies in Finland and Sweden are among its users.
Andreas M. Kleinknecht says, “Public authorities in Germany and Europe must realise how regionally hosted cloud solutions can enhance collaboration. Conceptboard optimises processes across organisations and strengthens trust in government institutions through digital sovereignty.”
