Last update:

Lovable, a Swedish AI startup developing what it claims to be the world’s first AI full-stack engineer, has secured $15M (approximately €14.29M) in a pre-Series A funding round.

Creandum led the investment round, which was participated in by prominent angel investors, including Charlie Songhurst (on the Meta board of directors), Adam D’Angelo, and Thomas Wolf (co-founder of Huggingface).

Fredrik Cassel, general partner at Creandum, says, “I haven’t seen this level of user love for a product since we invested in Spotify. It’s truly astounding. Lovable has the potential to become one of Europe’s next generational companies in this new era of AI.”

Building software that builds software

Lovable offers a versatile AI-powered platform beyond traditional no-code tools, enabling users to create everything from basic websites to complex business applications like interactive dashboards, automation systems, and even full startups—all within a single platform.

It allows non-technical users to build software without coding while helping developers work up to 20 times faster than conventional methods.

The latest funding follows Lovable’s rapid expansion, reaching $17M (approximately €16.20M) in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and amassing 30,000 paying customers within three months of launch.

The company also reports that 25,000 new applications are built daily using its platform. Lovable’s growth trajectory positions it as one of the fastest-scaling startups in Europe.

Lovable credits its growth to the platform’s ease of use, allowing a wider range of users—including non-developers like entrepreneurs, designers, and business professionals—to create software, broadening its appeal beyond traditional tech experts.

Capital utilisation

Lovable has rapidly scaled with $2M in capital investment and is now set for further expansion with $15M in new funding. The company aims to accelerate AI innovation, enhance automation, and integrate with key third-party services like Supabase and GitHub.

Founder Anton Osika highlights that this investment will strengthen Lovable’s technology and broaden its accessibility to more users worldwide.

Osika says, “Less than 1 per cent of the world’s population can code, which is a significant drag on innovation. Imagine if anyone with a powerful idea could turn that idea into a product. This is the vision we’re making a reality at Lovable.”

The company aims to transform software creation, enabling users to turn ideas into production-ready products in minutes.
