Recently, the hottest technology startup award events took place in the Netherlands last week — The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 — which awards the fast-growing startups of the countries worldwide. While, the Dutch version of Tinder, The Inner Circle was voted the winner with 3460% revenue growth. Temper took off with the title Rising Star 2018.

The winners were announced on October 11 at a gala event at the Thuishaven Festival site Amsterdam. Temper is a digital bulletin board where clients place jobs and freelancers build a profile to sell their services. #1 50,000 freelancers and over 2500 clients
Founded in 2015 by Paul Eggink who is also the CEO of the startup, Temper has witnessed a spectacular growth in a short span of time. Temper is used by over 50,000 freelancers and over 2,500 clients. On average, over 3,000 new jobs are placed every week. Providing the ability of the platform, 98.8% of the placed orders are filled. Also, freelancers can earn an average of €15 per hour based on the work.
#2 €4 million funding
While, the startup raised investment from many private investors and in 2017, back in September 2018, the startup secured a growth capital of €4 million from Amsterdam venture capitalist Slingshot. This funding is reportedly being used to expand the company’s presence in Germany and increase its employee base in two years.
#3 Aimed at freelancers in the hospitality industry
Temper is an online marketplace for freelancers in the hospitality industry to build a profile to sell their services and clients to place jobs. All that the freelancers need to do is create an account, respond to a position that suits your interests, and get started if you are selected. As of now, Temper is active in the hospitality industry, especially catering. The startup is bullish that it will expand to the retail segment.
#4 Focusses on freedom
Temper believes that everyone should get equal opportunity. This platform helps freelancers without the involvement of any employment agency, which makes them independent.
