Here’s why Dutch travel scaleup Tiqets has joined hands with Japanese online travel agent Veltra

Owing to the digitisation of travel service and rising travelling trend, the online travel agencies have evolved so much. In an attempt to give a tough competition to the already established travel suppliers, the leading OTAs have been signing deals and acquiring startups as well. 

In this regard, Tiqets, an innovative ticketing platform has announced a three-year deal with Japanese online traveling agent leader VELTRA in a bid to bring more people to global cultural treasures.

Why this collaboration?

 

With this collaborationVeltra will be integrating Tiqetstechnology into their own platform to extend the reach and boosts the competitiveness of both the brands. In addition to the original quality content, technological capabilities, this tie-up offers the unique suite of Tiqets products to the Japanese market as well.

Tiqets – easy-to-use mobile ticketing

Headquartered in Amsterdam, Tiqets was founded in 2014 by four Dutch entrepreneurs in an attempt to change the way visitors get into museums and cultural attractions. They wanted to accelerate the process with easy-to-use mobile ticketing. Thus born ‘Tiqets’.

 

Raised $22.5 million!

 

It’s worth mentioning here that Tiqets app and website includes the world’s most iconic museums and attractions from all over the world. So far, the company has raised $22.5 million in funding over five rounds. MoreoverTiqets has offices in various place including Amsterdam (HQ), Barcelona, Paris, Rome, London, Vienna, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Bangkok.
