Ex-CLARK CPO’s AI startup TODAY bags €1M to free financial advisors from admin chores

Copenhagen-based TODAY, a vertical AI startup has secured €1M in a Pre-Seed funding round led by Berlin-based AI-SaaS-Fund Lucid Capita.

The funding round also includes a group of angel investors from InsurTech, AI, and the insurance industry, including CLARK, Ascendia, Harvey, Meta, Thinksurance, and Covago, including:

The Danish company will use the funds to accelerate product development, expand sales, and support its roadmap.

TODAY: Empowering financial advisors with AI

Founded in 2024 by former CLARK CPO and founding employee Michael Gackstatter TODAY’s first product, the AI sales assistant, uses artificial intelligence to automate simple tasks, gather insights from client meetings, and help advisors focus on developing strong relationships with their clients.

“We deliver peace of mind at scale by empowering advisors with cutting-edge AI,” says Michael Gackstatter.

As per the company’s claims, the Danish company’s AI Assistant saves advisors up to 5 hours a week. 

The company recently secured a pre-seed round led by Lucid Capital alongside prominent fintech and tech angels.

Michael further shares, “While we invest heavily into our AI capabilities and team, our edge is simple: Listening to and rapidly iterating alongside the industry’s most customer-obsessed advisors.”
