Utrecht-based TrueTribe, the Dutch HR-tech company focused on holistic employee wellbeing, has announced the acquisition of Quan, a platform that helps organisations measure and improve workforce health and vitality.
“From day one, Quan has been about making wellbeing and performance human and science-based, says Arosha Brouwer, co-founder and CEO of Quan. ‘In TrueTribe, we’ve found a partner with both the ambition and integrity to scale that mission responsibly.”
How does this acquisition benefit TrueTribe?
With this acquisition, TrueTribe expands its data-driven capabilities, enabling employers to gain an in-depth understanding of employee well-being.
Moving forward, Quan’s platform will be integrated into TrueTribe’s portfolio.
Co-founder Lucy Howie says, “We founded Quan to help organisations make employee wellbeing a structural priority. Our scientific and action-oriented approach is the foundation for this. I look forward to working with our team as part of TrueTribe, bringing this approach to even more people and even more teams in different organisations.”
With this, customers benefit from a complete range of continuous, data-driven vitality, health and development insights and services to improve the wellbeing of their employees.
After the acquisition, Quan’s founders, Arosha Brouwer and Lucy Howie, will stay involved with TrueTribe. They will continue to focus on making wellbeing a key priority in business using proven and measurable methods.
Founded in 2020, Quan has raised €3M in funding from investors including Y Combinator, HearstLab, 4impact, Masawa, Joanna Invests, Knop Investments, and Golden Egg Check.
The platform and its proprietary wellbeing index have been adopted by organisations such as Bynder, ASML, Informa, and Fitch Group to continuously monitor and address hidden drivers of stress, burnout, and absenteeism.
TrueTribe: Helping companies deal with employee well-being
Led by Mayke Nagtegaal, TrueTribe is a Dutch HR-tech company founded as a corporate venture from Zorg van de Zaak.
The Dutch firm offers a data-driven platform that helps companies support employee well-being effectively.
It allows employees to quickly find the right help for issues related to health, vitality, and personal growth.
By using insights from anonymous user data and providing fast, personalised assistance, TrueTribe helps organisations reduce absenteeism.
It also identifies trends and patterns that help leaders make better decisions about team dynamics and workplace culture.
Mayke Nagtegaal, CEO of TrueTribe, says, “Joining forces with Quan enables us to support organisations even better with a holistic, data-driven and action-oriented approach to employee wellbeing. Quan’s platform offers great added value by continuously delivering insights at both personal and organisation-wide levels. This allows you to take proactive and very targeted action if an employee indicates, for whatever reason, that he or she is unable to perform optimally, and transcends separate wellbeing initiatives such as a coaching app or gym subscription that usually don’t offer an appropriate and sustainable solution to the real issue.”
