London-based UBIQ, a company that aims to unlock new ways for schools to market and communicate, has secured £4M (approximately €4.64M) in strategic investment from Blackbaud, a software provider for powering social impact.
With this funding, UBIQ is introducing AMAIS, the first digital experience ecosystem (DXE) for schools.
Founded in 2021, UBIQ is on a mission to transform school websites in education. It focuses on making data accessible for marketing, admissions, and school improvement, assisting schools in making informed decisions based on data.
With tools for collecting data and using AI/ML, UBIQ helps schools send the right messages, at the right times, through the right channels, and even personalise them for each person.

How will Blackbaud support UBIQ?
Blackbaud wants to help K-12 private schools find the right families and support them through online admissions, fundraising, finding new students, and inclusion initiatives.
With this investment, Blackbaud will work with UBIQ to improve the admissions process. It will use UBIQ’s digital system to personalise content and handle inquiries automatically, helping schools build better relationships with families during admissions and enrollment.
The investment also means that UBIQ’s AMAIS platform works with Blackbaud’s Total School Solution. This means Blackbaud’s customers can use UBIQ’s advanced tools for marketing and admissions, and their data will all work together.
Blackbaud customers will also get to use UBIQ’s AI and machine learning tools. UBIQ has become a “premier” partner for website solutions with Blackbaud.
Even though Blackbaud is teaming up with UBIQ, it will still offer its product, the Blackbaud School Website System. This means schools can choose to upgrade to UBIQ’s features while still using Blackbaud’s other tools.
