Utrecht-based PLTFRM, a company specialising in IT services, announced investment from ROM Utrecht Region.

The Dutch firm will use the funds to expand its team and partner network, as well as automate its platform ‘MyPLTFRM’.

Jasper Fioole, co-founder of PLTFRM says, “Thanks to the cooperation with the ROM and the experienced business angels, we gain a lot of knowledge, network and growth potential. We are very pleased that this will allow us to complete targeted growth faster.”

“We see a huge movement in the market that we respond to with PLTFRM. With this growth injection, we can support even more organisations in achieving their objectives by digitizing critical business processes. We look forward to a great collaboration,” adds Fioole.

What does PLTFRM solve?

The demand for digitisation is rapidly increasing and has become essential for modern organisations.

Consequently, there is a growing need for services in cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics and AI, as well as software and application development.

However, it can be challenging to locate and choose the right supplier while effectively managing costs and ensuring project success based on measurable KPIs.

To address this challenge, PLTFRM acts as an intermediary between clients and IT suppliers.

And how?

Founded by Rolf van Anholt, Sander Ellerman and Jasper Fioole, PLTFRM develops a platform to facilitate easy and transparent procurement of IT Managed Services from specialised partners. This is for companies and organisations.

The Dutch company helps customers identify their IT issues and selects suitable specialist service providers to realise the solution.

In addition to a human directed component, PLTFRM’s technology provides real-time control, allowing for efficient resolution of any IT issue by specialised parties with a higher success rate and at a lower cost.

The investor

ROM Utrecht Region is a social investor that increases access to capital for innovative companies in the region.

The ROM invests in the major transition sectors — digital, health and sustainability

To realise financing for these companies, the ROM works with many partners within and outside the region.

The ROM has two funds: the Healthy Urban Living Proof Of Concept (HUL POC) Fund and the Participation Fund.

The HUL POC Fund was made possible in part by co-financing from the Province of Utrecht and the European Fund for Regional Development (ERDF).

The PLTFRM investment comes from the HUL POC Fund.

Irene van de Poll – Investment Manager ROM Utrecht Region says, “PLTFRM is a forerunner in the digital transition in areas such as Data & AI, Cloud and Cybersecurity. The ecosystem approach of PLTFRM to connect the right partners and work together fits in very well with the working method and mission of ROM and thus accelerates the digital transition.”
