Dutch startup VitsAll, the employee wellbeing platform founded by Sabine Bakkum, has been named the winner of a Dragons’ Den pitch competition organised by Rabobank in collaboration with the Academic Business Club.
The event brought together rising entrepreneurs to pitch their ventures before a panel of expert judges, including Raymon Pouwels, José van Dalen, Martijn V., and Floris Heesters.
From gymnast to CEO
As a former gymnast, Sabine Bakkum (CEO) developed VitsAll using a validated approach that incorporates physical health and mental resilience into everyday work.
“From being a top gymnast to helping others improve their physical and mental health through a unique, continuously validated approach. Yesterday, we got to share that passion with an incredible audience and jury,” she says.
She also highlighted the need for comprehensive health solutions in today’s busy corporate world.
LuckyPay receives accolades
In addition to VitsAll, LuckyPay, a fintech startup founded by Aaron van Rijn, received accolades. Based out of Noord-Brabant, LuckyPay focuses on simplifying the act of gifting money in a digital format.
The app introduces a streamlined process for users to send monetary gifts with added personalisation. Its functionality aims to modernize conventional cash gifting through a digital-first interface.
Earlier in January 2022, Dragon’s Den was launched in the Netherlands through the streaming platform Viaplay. Dragon’s Den pits entrepreneurs against five multi-millionaire investors, or Dragons, to pitch their ideas for investment. Each entrepreneur gets 3 minutes to pitch. It can be an already established business or something just a little more than an idea.
