The war in Ukraine has impacted everyone in the country โ€” and in the world. Because of Russiaโ€™s invasion, millions of people had to move away, leaving their homes, cities, and work behind.

The budding tech ecosystem of Ukriane has been affected as well. The countryโ€™s startups definitely took a blow initially โ€” but have seemingly managed to not only stay afloat, but also to fight back and help their countryโ€™s war effort.

Silicon Canals has partnered with the Blockquote Show to present first-hand accounts of Ukrainian startup founders who keep powering through with all their talent, perseverance, and optimism. During and after the live stream, we will be raising funds to help Ukraine in the time of war. Look for the QR code in the corner, scan it with your phone and donate if you can.

In this episode, watch a conversation with Oleksandr Kosovan, founder and CEO at MacPaw and Setapp, and co-founder of the VC fund SMRK. Apps like CleanMyMac, Gemini, or SetApp have seen millions of downloads over the years and become indispensable for many Mac users across the world.

Join the conversation live to hear Oleksandr talking about the work of MacPaw during the war, his personal experiences, and the initiatives he and his company have launched to support Ukraine in these most challenging times.
