Amsterdam-based Yondr Group, a developer, owner-operator and service provider of data centres, announced on Monday, June 12, that it has agreed to a partnership with Apollo Global Management, a global alternative asset manager.
Yondr says this strategic partnership is an important milestone as it expands internationally in response to customer demand.
Apollo Partners Trevor Mills and Andrew Kirby say, “We are delighted to work with Yondr Group. With our support, Yondr can develop innovative, sustainable infrastructure solutions and meet the growing needs of an increasingly data-driven world.”
Apollo invests in Yondr
Besides the partnership, Apollo has also made an investment in Yondr. However, the amount remains undisclosed.
The money will be used to support Yondr’s strategic expansion plan, which is being driven by blue-chip customer demand for its service offering.
Dylan Foo, Head of Global Infrastructure at Apollo, says, “We believe this transaction demonstrates our ability to navigate complexity amid continued economic uncertainty and structure an attractive, tailored investment which supports the needs of both Yondr and Apollo Funds.”
“We look forward to supporting Yondr’s continued expansion while pursuing the high-growth secular trend of global cloud adoption.”
What does Yondr offer?
Founded in 2019, Yondr is a worldwide data centre developer, owner-operator, and service provider. The firm specialises in developing and running dedicated infrastructure that is engineered for scale.
“As an organisation, our mission ‘Global capacity responsible delivery’ ensures that we achieve our vision of a tomorrow without constraints,” says the company.
Yondr helps its clients fulfil their growing need for capacity globally by providing complicated data centre requirements.
The company claims to be well positioned to satisfy the rising customer demand for cloud capacity because of its ability to provide faster and its broad, global portfolio in both new and established locations.
Yondr says its data centre projects continue to advance internationally, with a focus on delivering for clients in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
