Amsterdam-based YourKitchen, a network of delivery/takeaway-optimised kitchens that allows restaurants to launch into new territories, announced on Thursday, September 14, that it has been acquired by The Kitchen Dojo and Trias Real Estate.
Yousif Kurdi, founder & CEO of YourKitchen, says, “We worked hard over the past 3 and a half years to create a new opportunity for restaurants looking to expand through delivery.”
“Given the slowdown in the economy and investments, we had to find another way to support growth in this industry.”
“We are confident that with The Kitchen Dojo and Trias Real Estate, our customers will benefit from a larger portfolio of kitchens as well as more resources to grow,” adds Kurdi.
What does YourKitchen offer?
YourKitchen offers commercial, delivery and takeout-optimised kitchens. The company claims to have been innovating restaurant real estate through its plug-and-play delivery kitchens. Its mission is to create strong, local communities centred around food.
“Our state-of-the-art facility allows flexibility for future growth while addressing your current needs. Our strategic location puts you in the centre of a thriving group of customers you can reach seamlessly through a food delivery application or your own delivery service,” says YourKitchen.
How it works
Aim of the acquisition
This collaboration with dark kitchen operator The Kitchen Dojo and Trias Real Estate (a hospitality real estate investor) will help YourKitchen introduce a multi-city network of dark kitchens in the Netherlands, offering customers a range of options for food delivery services.
The partnership combines YourKitchen’s existing dark kitchens with The Kitchen Dojo’s operational expertise and Trias Real Estate’s hospitality real estate knowledge.
The acquisition looks to spur innovation in the restaurant real estate industry, offering a brighter future for restaurants seeking expansion opportunities through dark kitchens.
The combined resources and experience aims to transform the way consumers engage with dining experiences, particularly in the digital-first era.
