Amsterdam-based Yummygums, a company that aims to help people engage with their health in an enjoyable way through its vitamin gummies, announced that it has raised €1.46M in a sharefunding campaign.
In June 2023, the Dutch company had announced that it raised €1M through a sharefunding campaign setting a target of €1.3M.
“It’s remarkable that we initially set out a goal of €750,000. We want to thank you on behalf of the complete Yummygums team. The enthusiasm from the community was truly heartwarming,” says Yummygums.
Capital utilisation
Yummygums mentions that the funds will help launch a total of four new products this year. “We can’t wait to share it with you so stay tuned!”
The company’s products are available throughout the UK with nationwide distribution in Well Pharmacy pharmacies and Tesco, a prominent supermarket chain.
How was Yummygums born?
In January 2017, Michel Kobus and Luuk van Hoogstraaten sought to improve their health through a sports programme and a strict diet with vitamin pills. However, they struggled to stay consistent with the pills, resulting in a cupboard full of half-used jars.
To address this issue, they founded Yummygums, a brand offering vitamin gummies as a more enjoyable and sustainable alternative to traditional pills.
Their mission is to make self-care something to look forward to, providing a tasty and convenient way to maintain a daily vitamin routine.
“Treat yourself to a new healthy habit”
Founded in 2017 by Ruben Balian, Michel Kobus, Frank Van Driel and Luuk van Hoogstraaten, Yummygums is a vitamin startup that is vegan, free of artificial additives, and produced with genuine and superior ingredients.
The brand enables customers to make healthy habits more pleasant by providing vitamins in the shape of appealing fruity candies. This gives them the ability to live a healthy lifestyle.
Currently, the firm offers a broad line of 11 products targeted at supporting everyone, regardless of age or health goal, and demonstrating that health and enjoyment can coexist.
The company says, “Our vitamin gummies are carefully composed and contain only high-quality ingredients. Our products are 100 per cent vegan, sugar-free and contain no artificial colours or flavours. They are also free of allergens such as gluten or lactose. We are here for everyone to support their healthy routine.”
The gummies contain vitamins as well as delectable fruit tastes such as raspberry, cherry, lemon, and blackberry.
Yummygums can be ordered online or bought at one of the 1,000+ outlets such as Etos and Vitaminstore. Users can also opt for a flexible and non-binding subscription to automatically receive the gummies at home periodically.
