Eleven startups and one scale-up graduated from Startupbootcamp’s first FinTech and CyberSecurity program

Eleven FinTech and CyberSecurity startups and one Scale-up recently graduated from the Startupbootcamp FinTech & CyberSecurity program 2017 after three months of mentorship and training. It marks Startupbootcamp’s first combined FinTech & CyberSecurity program worldwide, based in Amsterdam.

Demo Day

During the intense accelerator program, the twelve companies collaborated with 150+ mentors, partners and investors. Demo Day marked the end of the acceleration, where the companies pitched their innovative ideas in front of hundreds of investors, partners, and mentors.

“Hottest areas of startup innovation”

Here are the twelve companies that took the stage:

Budgently (Netherlands)

A bank-independent personal finance assistant that “automates” your money.
Insight: Solution for millennials created by millennials. Obtained an extra EUR 20K during the Startupbootcamp program by winning The Hague Innovators 2017 Award.

Encedo (UK)

Provides encryption as a service (EaaS) to protect any kind of data on any device with any operating system – anytime, anywhere.
Insight: First bring-your-own encryption (or keys) solution. Already five VCs interested in the startup after the Demo Day.

Flymble (Netherlands)

Book your flights through social networks and easily spread the cost into monthly payments with Flymble – the travel hub of the mobile generation.
Insight: They are already generating bookings in open beta, with the UK launch planned for August. They have raised significant interest from the professional investors community.

M-vendr (UK)

A simplified, cost-effective pre-paid value, remittance and financial services delivery platform.
Insight: Company that is focused on Africa and increasing financial inclusion via their white label Mobile Point of Sale. Over 22 clients in 15 countries, 40K active M-POS users, with over £3 million in monthly transactions processed via the platform.

Milestone (Netherlands)

Using data-driven approach, Milestone provides tools for investors to understand, execute and manage marketplace lending investments. Insight: First aggregator of P2P crowdfunding platforms in continental Europe that is focused on sophisticated investors.

POM (Belgium)

Enjoy more free time thanks to POM – the trusted app for payment and archiving of all of your invoices in a quick and secure way.
Insight: Company that has seen enormous traction since being in the program by making paying and storing invoices simple (POM = Peace of Mind). 30K app downloads so far and agreements with a some leading banks to integrate POM into their mobile banking apps.

Schluss (Netherlands)

With Schluss, you – and only you – decide who gets which information about you on the Internet.
Insight: Schluss is a social impact CyberSecurity and Privacy startup that can help companies with PSD2 and GDPR.

SeedWise.Capital (Netherlands)

Fund for secure digital currency investments. Insight: First Bitcoin fund to decrease the risk associated in trading in Bitcoins. They will ensure full regulatory compliance in dialogue with the Dutch, Swiss and Cypriot regulators.

Spendolater (UK)

Investing made easy with the Limitless app – helping financial institutions engage millennials with micro investments.
Insight: Limitless app ready to pilot with 3 letters of intent signed. They want to be the No1 long-term investment product for Millennials.

Virtual Broker (Bulgaria)

The technological solution that brings insurance intermediaries into the digital era, offering them a smart back-office system, a web sales platform and a mobile app.
Insight: Agreement with an EU insurance intermediary with 50 offices and 12 websites, more than a dozen of LOIs with other intermediaries.

WolfWay (Italy)

Unveils unique investment opportunities by analysing market dynamics based on investor behaviour.
Insight: WolfWay allows you to follow individuals and groups of individuals to make better investment decisions. WolfWay signed some major agreements with customers in the last few weeks.

iProov – Scale up in Residence (UK)

iProov delivers secure online authentication using effortless face matching, uniquely protected from spoof, replay and hacking attacks by patented One Time Biometric technology.
Insight: iProov is set out to be a £1 billion company in 5 years.
