Based out of Newcastle Upon Tyne, Changing Health is the market leader in digital behavioral change programs in the British healthcare industry. Moreover, this startup combines proven psychological instruments with Artificial Intelligence (AI). These are offered through platform and tele-coaching with the aim to change habits and lifestyle.
Founded by John Grumitt and Mike Trenell in 2015, this startup from U.K started as a spin-off from Newcastle University and Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust by Professor Mike Trenell. In this case, Big data is used to identify the social, environmental and demographic factors that influence a person’s lifestyle.
In the United Kingdom, Changing Health works with healthcare professionals and insurers who offer this lifestyle intervention to their patients. With this, people with type 2 diabetes are taught and coached to change their lifestyle and condition.
