Last update:

Decodata, an Amsterdam-based B2B SaaS solution for the interior design market, announced that it has secured €700K in its first round of funding from a group of angel investors.

Founder and CEO Anne de Jongh says, “With Decodata, we offer a worldwide unique solution in which product specifications of interior brands can be processed automatically in webshops, ERP systems, accounting programs, and PIM systems.”

New CCO on board

The latest funding will enable Decodata to further expand its position in the market. In addition, the company appointed Eric Mencke as Chief Commercial Officer, thereby expanding the leadership team.

Eric says, “A cool challenge to work with a strong and close team on a smart and validated solution in a creative niche market. Costs can be reduced based on automation and data tools. And even more interesting: information is enriched for higher conversion, and time is made to spend, for example, on creating interior inspiration. In my period at KPN, in addition to various sales roles, I helped build two corporate startups and gained many insights. A background with which I want to be of value to the Decodata team to continue building a successful future.’

Decodata now has data from the large and small international interior.”

What does Decodata solve?

Many retailers like Flinders, Eijerkamp, fonQ, and Berden, indicate that it takes a long time to process all data. How brands deliver the product specifications is often unstructured in a PDF file with sometimes additions in an Excel file.

It takes a lot of time and manual work to copy, paste and retype the necessary specifications, such as materials, prices, dimensions, and product names.

This is where Decodata comes into play.

Structures data

Founded by Anne de Jongh in 2021, Decodata structures interior product specifications in a file format that can be seamlessly imported into the webshops of online retailers.

With the Decodata platform, data is structured, converted, and made available to every customer who is a dealer of a specific brand.

To date, the company consists of data from large and small international interior brands through its portals Fatboy, Vitra, Wever & Ducre, Zuiver, and Pholc. The company claims more than 150,000 unique products are structured and are easy to download, so far.
