Last year, the Amsterdam-based soft-skill scaleup Lepaya acquired Smartenup, a hard-skills expert company, to consolidate its position in the training market. And now Lepaya has announced its expansion to Sweden, following the successful launch in Belgium and Germany.
This marks the next step in the Dutch company’s expansion plan. “Sweden is a market in which organisations regard employee satisfaction to be of great importance. By letting employees develop skills for the labour market of the future, both digital competencies and soft skills such as empathy and persuasiveness, organisations become more productive and their employees happier. Swedish organisations have focused heavily on closing these skills gaps in recent years. We are very excited to start helping them do this as efficiently as possible!” says René Janssen, founder and managing director of Lepaya.
Provides power skills training
Lepaya was established in 2018 by René Janssen and Peter Kuperus, who, based on their experiences both in the corporate world and the scaleup scene, saw that there is a need for training courses that sustainably change behaviour.
The Amsterdam-based company provides power skills training that combines online and offline learning. The Amsterdam company does this through its learning app and short interactive classroom sessions with the best trainers.
How does Lepaya help organisations?
Most European organisations face challenges in closing the mismatch between the skills that employees now possess and those they will need in the future.
Here’s where the Dutch scaleup supports organisations by upgrading the power skills of employees: a skillset consisting of both hard and soft skills that robots cannot replace. At present, the company offers its service to tech companies, such as Mollie, Takeaway, and Picnic.
The Dutch company has raised €6.5M to date, from investors including Media group Mediahuis and Tablomonto Ventures. Lepaya focuses on the Dutch, Belgian, German, and Swedish markets and serves its customers worldwide.
Member of NRTO
A few days back, Lepaya joined as a member of the NRTO Quality Mark Association. The NRTO is the Dutch association/council for Training and Education. According to Lepaya, the NRTO quality mark is a sign of professionalism in the training market and meets high-quality requirements.
