In line with our exclusive, we did a few weeks back, Amsterdam-based Kinder a tech-for-good startup raised an additional €525K in their latest funding round led by a group of angel investors. In fact, Mathys van Abbe, founder of Kinder, also joined the round. With this funding, Kinder has so far raised €2.1M to date.
The company intends to use the funding to expand its global network as well as accelerating product development for innovative fundraising features including Kinder Appeals and Kinder Fundraiser platforms. These platforms will allow users to donate towards effectively solving society’s most urgent problems and organise fundraisers to maximise their support.
“We believe that online fundraising will be at the forefront of the post-pandemic charitable sector. That’s why we help organisations change the way they raise funds and nudge them to do it more effectively. We are super excited to continue to empower both the citizens and the organisations across the world to do better and become the single destination for effective giving”, says Mathys van Abbe, founder of Kinder.
State-of-the-art vetting framework
As per the company claims, the public confidence in charities has been shaken by scandals in the sectors over the past few years, with calls for more accountability and transparency. Kinder aims to regain trust in the charitable sector by becoming an efficient partner for global organisations all across the world.
The Amsterdam-based startup thoroughly vets the performance of charitable organisations and allows donors to act instantly when confronted with the world’s problems. In this case, ‘vet’ means examining or checking. In other words, gathering information on an organisation to determine its soundness.
The Dutch startup has collaborated with Impact Center Erasmus and Duke University and developed a state-of-the-art vetting framework to assess the performance of charitable organisations. Notably, Kinder is the first platform that offers nonprofits research, fundraising tech, and storytelling.
Vetted more than 2500 organisations globally
With over 2,500 vetted organisations globally, the tech-for-good startup aims to increase private donations across the sector through its online knowledge platform and digital fundraising tools for charitable organisations.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fundraising event right now has been moved online. Kinder offers online fundraising tools for charities through the Charity Zone, an online platform research and donation platform dedicated to promote transparent nonprofits and increase private donations in the charitable sector.
