There’s no question that Amsterdam is a great place for startups. The city has a thriving ecosystem of startups, investors, and mentors, and is also home to some of the best accelerators and incubators in Europe. As a result, Amsterdam’s startup scene has been getting much attention and investment over the years.
A report from Dealroom reveals that Amsterdam-based startups raised €698M in H1 2022, making it the second-highest H1 on record. Amsterdam also ranks 3rd for new funds raised in 2022 so far, second only to London and Berlin.
We have compiled a list of Amsterdam-based startups that raised funds in November 2022. Some of them are also hiring now. Take a look.
Dwarf

Dwarfs is an e-commerce platform that buys and grows e-commerce brands on marketplaces. The Amsterdam platform invests in online stores with revenues ranging from €0.5M to €20M.Â
The company claims to be the first e-commerce scaleup in the Netherlands aiming to acquire and consolidate online stores with rapid growth on the bol.com partner platform (LVB – Logistics via bol.com) and, in some cases, internationally through Amazon (FBA – Fulfillment by Amazon).
Dwarfs assist sellers in making their online businesses profitable by quickly scaling up their company operations and increasing their sales. The company is active in the field of home, garden, and kitchen (Garden & Outdoor), tools (Tools & Home Improvement ), and pets (Pet Supplies).
The company recently raised €30M in a fresh round of funding from new and existing investors, including Harlan Capital Partners, Solid Ventures, and angel investors.Â

The company raised €1M in funding from a network of strategic angel investors to expand the team and improve services and products.
Sympower

Sympower aims to accelerate the global transition towards net zero by helping build smarter and cleaner renewable energy systems. The company balances the supply and demand of power across international energy grids using its in-house developed software platform.
This year, Sympower became a certified B Corp, which shows that the company is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency across 5 impact areas – governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.
In November, Sympower raised €3M in funding led by Activate Capital. Sympower is hiring for various positions in the Netherlands and Sweden. Â

The healthtech startup claims it helps people with type 2 diabetes become “the best and healthiest version of themselves using data instead of pills.”
In November, the company raised fresh funding from Amsterdam’s Achmea Innovation Fund.Â

In November, the Dutch startup raised €4M in a fresh round of funding from Yesqar, a financial firm that combines a data automation platform and finances to offer short and long-term loans and automobile leases.
Overstory

Overstory is a global vegetation intelligence platform. The Amsterdam-based company applies Artificial Intelligence (AI) to high-resolution satellite imagery to provide real-time analytics of natural resources.
The Dutch company’s solution helps forest industry companies, electric utility companies, and NGOs to improve decision-making in a timely and accurate manner.
The company’s platform provides minute details, including the location, height, health, and species of trees. It then alerts customers on where the riskiest trees are and those that need to be cut down.
In November, the company raised €5.2M in a fresh funding round led by Convective Capital.Â
