Appril festival, the largest mobile business event in the Netherlands, is back for its sixth edition. In the coming edition, hosted in Amsterdam from April 11 to 13, the festival provides an overview of 10 years of app industry in the Netherlands โ and a serious glance into the future.
Theย Appril festival changed significantly over the last six years, turning from a community-based festival (for app developers, by app developers) into the largest mobile business event of the Netherlands. This yearโs program is all about mobile solutions. From Mobile Marketing Strategy, Big Data, UX Design to Mobile Transformation; talking about future technology like Artificial Intelligence, AR/ VR, IoT, Smarthome Devices, Chatbots and so on.
Showcases
Festival visitors will also be presented the best Dutch showcases, be able to listen to inspirational keynote speakers and participate in interactive sessions. This yearโs edition will be hosted in English which opens doors, all tech professionals based in the Netherlands can participate.
Ten years of app development in the Netherlands; what did it do for us, which challenges will we meet in the future, what business opportunities can we expect? RuigRok Netpanel will conduct a unique branch related research giving valuable insights into the Dutch app industry. The results will be presented at the festival kick off on Wednesday, April 11th in B. Amsterdam.
During an interactive session hosted by mobile business expert Brechtje de Leij, facilitated by BuzzMaster, the audience will participate in a lively discussion with an expert panel. Renowned panel members are Mike Lee (Chief Architect – Mayor Appsterdam), Bart Breij (Appadvisor โ ex reviewer of 20.000 apps for iCulture.nl), Ivo Jansch (CEO App Agencies Egeniq / Buildozer) and Louise Verschuren (Co-Founder Wuzzon / Mentor Startupbootcamp).
Full program
During the afternoon program on Wednesday, April 11, designers, developers and business professionals will join expert sessions. After which they will meet again at the bar during โMobile Heroes Drinksโ or during the appril Network Dinner. On Thursday, April 12 and Friday, April 13 various festival partners will host in-house sessions throughout the capital. Confirmed are great names like ABN AMRO (โDesign Thinkingโ session) and Pinch (two days โJournathonโ with i.a. Dutch newspaper โTelegraafโ and the national broadcasting agency โNOSโ).
