The Belgian startup Piximate has been assigned to capture the emotions of users in the brigades of the National Gendarmerie in France. The startup expertises in AI-enabled image analysis. The National Gendarmerie intends to scrutinise the reception aspect of the users with the help of the installed cameras in the premises.
The real-time assessment of the users’ emotions can be done by means of ‘Pixitrack’- software synced with the installed cameras. It is under trial in a police station near Lyon, and likely to be applied to other brigades in near future.
Pixitrack – image analysis by artificial intelligence
Pixitrack is an advanced computer vision algorithm that enables the transformation of images into a strapping source of data. Linked to a regular security camera, the software provides real-time incisive information based on covered footage.
The artificial intelligence-driven tool helps in tracking and counting people with 95% accuracy. The tracking involves footfall, age, gender, activity, emotion, dwell time, etc. The software is adaptive to multiple environments and dedicated to enhancing customer experiences for the businesses.
As per Georges Caron, co-founder and Head of Product Development, “The customer experience is currently at the heart of every strategy. Pixitrack responds to this need for analytics and gives the physical world what is already possible in digital for a long time”.
Pixitrack is capable of deciphering all the shades of human emotions and degree of satisfaction. Further, the prediction of attendance and queues’ pattern can also be done with the help of the software.
Piximate, the Louvain-La-Neuve based startup was founded in 2016 by Valerio Burgarello, Georges Caron and Laure Uytdenhoef. It is committed to offering automated solutions for analytical optimisation and management of visual content.
