Deezer, a global streaming service based in Paris has announced the “by Deezer Radio” app in the Netherlands and Spain following its successful launch in the UK. With Deezer, radio enthusiasts can improve the listening experience by providing direct access to the local radio stations sans additional ads.
The users of “Radio by Deezer” in the Netherlands can download the free Android app to discover their favourite radio stations. They can search for stations depending on the location and easily find them from the categories on the homepage such as ‘most played’ and ‘recently played’.
As listeners listen to a radio station, their favourite songs will be added to the ‘favourite numbers’ within the Deezer Radio app’s library. From the favourites section, users can listen to songs they like easily under the apps’ My Music menu option.
Deloitte predicted that over 85% of the adult population will listen to the radio at least weekly in 2019. After the launch of “Radio by Deezer” in England, users have spent 2 hours and 20 minutes a day listening to the radio on an average. This is much higher than the global average of 90 minutes per day. Eventually, the global streaming company is launching its app in more countries in Europe. Also, it is in plans to launch its services across the world in the future.
Founded by Daniel Marhely and Jonathan Benassaya, this French company’s “Radio By Deezer ” is currently only available for Android users. And, it is possible for users to download the free app to get unlimited access to the world’s best radio programs.
