Pretty face? You get the job!
Face value is the new way of matching employers and employees without involving any resumes in between. Using Face value, both employers and applicants save time and results in the right candidate.
To apply, employees just have to send a picture of their face. With the help of artificial intelligence, the photo is analyzed for all kinds of personal characteristics, such as intelligence, loyalty, perseverance, leadership, creativity and care. This analysis is indeed compared with the job requirements of the job.
The selected photos with suitable characteristics are then shared with the employer through the Face-value app. The employer can swipe left to reject or swipe right to invite the candidate for the personal interview. If the candidate is selected, he/she receives a message with an invitation. This platform help employer from going through hundreds of CVs.
Face value is created by a team of people with an HR background since they feel the application procedures consume too much of time. With the right techniques, Face Value make application procedures more effective, cheaper and fairer.
Talk to Tulips in Tulipish!
If I am not wrong, it’s hard to keep up a conversation with flowers. Well, you can tell them about your life, your work, your romance and more, but all they do is nothing. If you ever feel dejected about this, worry not my friend! Thanks to great advancements in artificial intelligence, Google Home is now able to understand tulips, allowing translation between Tulipish and dozens of human languages.
With this, Tulips now have a way to indicate to humans that they’re in need of water, light or simply some more space. As their needs are expressed more clearly, they are able to live a happier and healthier life. Furthermore, tulips turn out to be very chatty and excellent listeners too. Google Tulip was largely developed and tested in the Netherlands, a country that produces 12.5 billion flowers a year.
According to the company, “After two years of training, we were finally able to add Tulipish as a language to Google Home’s recently introduced Interpreter Mode. Google Tulip is only available on April 1, 2019. Look for it on your Google Home device, simply by saying, “Hey Google, talk to my tulip.”

April Fool’s day origin!
Theory 1: The exact origins of the holiday remain unknown, maybe lost in history over time, but there are lots of theories surrounding it. The famous one traces back to Geoffrey Chaucer’s “The Canterbury Tales” in 1392, wherein Chaucer includes a playful reference to “32 March,” or April 1st. Having said that, some scholars consider it as a mere copying error.
Theory 2: On the other hand, a few historians speculate April Fools’ Day dates back to 1582 when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar. People who failed to recognise the start of New Year on January 1 and continued to celebrate during the last week of March through April 1 were viewed as fools.
