Due to the corona crisis, people and governments all over the world are rethinking to transform urban mobility. In a bid to transform our everyday commute, Belgian startup Cowboy has come up with Cowboy 3 designed for commuters across Europe to go to the city of the future faster.
The Cowboy 3, the third-generation electric bike, is engineered with several new hardware features such as a single-gear automatic transmission for the simplest and smoothest mode of transportation. It has a removable battery and features smart technology, the latest design, and much more. The Cowboy 3 can be ordered for €2,290 and the first orders will be shipped from July onwards.
Cowboy 3 brings major highlights
Cowboy 3 features an all-new carbon belt transmission that requires no oily chain and no maintenance for up to 30,000 kilometres. It has custom mudguards available for €89, lower gear ratio for a faster start and easier ride uphill, and puncture-resistant tires for a flexible grip and a puncture protection layer. This latest model of electric bike has been launched in three colour options: – Anthracite Grey, Absolute Black, and Mineral Gray. Despite these major upgrades and features, the Cowboy 3 is lightweight, weighing around 16.9 kg.
Cowboy app gets updated!
Besides the launch of Cowboy 3, the accompanying app gets a major update that brings the most anticipated features by its rider community. The latest version of the Cowboy app comes with features such as Find My Bike, Navigation, Siri Voice Control, and Live Dashboard. Also, there is an auto-unlock, crash detection, and air quality feature added as well.
Cowboy Mobile Service program is here
The mobility startup also launches its Cowboy Mobile Service program, a network of repair specialists who will attend to their customers whenever and wherever they need a repair. What’s more interesting is that the repair of the electric bikes from Cowboy will be done free of charge, provided the 2-year warranty is applicable. This repair program is active in 24 cities and will be expanded this summer.
Adrien Roose, CEO of Cowboy said, “The success of our previous model has been tremendous across all of Europe. It’s been great to create an electric bike that really speaks to the modern commuter as they set to change the way they experience urban movement. We always knew that people would start to look at alternative ways to commute over the next few years, however with cities’ increased investment in bike infrastructure, we are thrilled to offer a perfect blend of convenience, technology and comfort.”
Founded in 2017 by Adrien Roose, Karim Slaoui, and Tanguy Goretti, Cowboy aims to improve urban mobility and provide commuters with a more enjoyable, sustainable, and efficient mobility experience. In an attempt to achieve this, the Belgian company smashed records at crowdfunding making it the world’s best-connected e-bike startup to get 308% of its original target of £1.2 million and Crowdcube’s most successful cleantech campaign.
