Imagine if you can contribute to the environment just by visiting a coworking space? Sounds cool, right! You can do that by booking your B2B coworking space via Upflex, the first flexible and sustainable co-working booking platform for businesses in the world. It is a global marketplace providing access to more than 8000 workspaces in 200 cities across 65 countries.

Established in 2017 by Christophe Garnier and Ginger Dhaliwal, Upflex has also teamed up with Trees.org to plant a tree for every area that is booked using its platform. Already, the company has achieved a feat by planting 10,000 trees, thanks to the first 100 clients of Upflex.

Raises €3.7M funding

Also, the news is just in that the New York-based company has announced the closure of $4.1 million (nearly €3.7 million) seed round led by Ecosystem, a Silicon Valley investor. Furthermore, Splash Capital and Right Side Capital also took part in the funding round. Further, the company has also hired Liassine Talbi, a former IWG Regus executive as its global sales lead.

A whopping 8,000 locations!

In addition to the investment round, the company is also in plans to expand their standard office options and meeting room bookings. Notably, Upflex is touted to be an efficient and a very sustainable alternative to WeWork, Knotel, etc.

“We believe the future of office space lies in the management and understanding of the usage data at scale” said Christophe Garnier, CEO of Upflex. “Our clients want access to a global and flexible inventory that matches their needs while reducing their office costs. We created the Upflex platform for them while setting a new standard in sustainable workplace.”

“We have seen the trend towards flexible work become an industry standard, with undeniable value-add and productivity gains. But the problem with current offerings still forces companies to forecast their usage upfront, leading to over-expenditure and wastefulness. In our view, Upflex’s model is the most sustainable and cost-effective solution that exists today,” added Sasha Brown, partner at EIF.

Resolves challenges for businesses

In the current world, medium and large companies face three major challenges. Firstly, they should reduce their reliance on real estate and long-term lease commitments. The next one is the need to provide more workplace choices to employees and make it competitive when it comes to acquisition and retention of talent. Finally, these companies are committed to substantial goals driving a smaller carbon footprint.

- A message from our partner -

With its proprietary co-working booking platform, Upflex aims to resolve these challenges and save businesses both their office cost and carbon footprint. The platform gives companies access to on-demand private offices, desks, and meeting rooms on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. Eventually, companies can book flexible spaces anywhere and anytime as they wish.
