Deliveroo’s helicopter dining experience is a must try, before you die

Coming up with a unique restaurant concept for a new business is no easy task. Dining, at its heart, is all about food. But the way food is served along with the quality of dining experience adds even more value and is crucial in determining the appeal.

Overall, the best dining experience offers a combination of unique ideas as well as good food. Well, that’s what Deliveroo does exactly – taking things literally to whole new heights in the world’s first helicopter restaurant.

Roocopter One! 

In this regard, Deliveroo, an online food delivery platform in the United Kingdom, has launched a distinctive yet incredible helicopter dining experience in ties with Charter-A.

Dubbed as Roocopter One, this helicopter offers customers a chance to enjoy their favourite meal while soaring through the skies above cities at the height of about 1000 feet.

Rolling out to other cities! 

It’s worth mentioning that you can order your dishes from limited (partner) restaurants including Wagamama, Chipotle, and Bababoom. This experience will last 20 minutes.

At present, the meal delivery company trialled the helicopter dining experience already in London (August 9th). However, this exquisite experience will be rolled out to Sydney, Hong Kong, and Edinburgh over the next two years.

Itinerary!

So here’s how it works! Regardless of the location, departure starts from one of the helipads (Battersea helipad in London), food will be ordered during a safety briefing. It is then delivered-to-door before take-off as part of a 20-minute experience.

Six people at once!

In the case of London, diners were took-in to London’s breath-taking views whilst enjoying their food as they fly high above Battersea Power Station, past the Shard and around the O2 before returned to Battersea. As of now, six people can go up at once, and to book a dining flight on the Roocopter One.

On the other hand, the meal delivery company is looking into the possibility of using the helicopter for delivering food to more rural areas in the future too.
