Last update:

As the conventional fundraising methods are off the cards due to the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous charities are turning digital to reach supporters and the public, offer assistance, and to appeal for funds. With most of the daily activities taking place over the Internet, online fundraising is the best way to raise money for nonprofit organisations in the present situation.

Turning digital

As nonprofit organisations around the world go through an intense and accelerated phase of digital transformation, RaiseNow is at the heart of this movement. Based out of Zurich, RaiseNow is a provider of digital fundraising solutions for all digital touchpoints, from SMS donations and mobile phone apps, right up to peer-to-peer event fundraising, and donation forms.

Raised €5M

The Swiss company raised 5.4M CHF (approx €5M) in a Series A+ investment round led by SIX Fintech Ventures with PostFinance and other individual investors. The company intends to use the investment to accelerate product development and serve changemakers in finding supporters, rallying communities, raising funds, and creating impact.

The financing round followed a strategic merger earlier this year between RaiseNow and Altruja, a fundraising technology company specialised in the growth of digital fundraising in Germany and Austria.

In a blog post, the company mentions, “Within the last six months, we’ve extended our fundraising ecosystem by forging new partnerships with TWINT, Salesforce, ClubDesk, Webling, and more, and greatly expanded our product functionality.”

Builds fundraising technology

Founded in 2015 by Marco Zaugg, RaiseNow builds fundraising technology to help nonprofit organisations find supporters, rally communities, raise funds, and create impact. The platform handles all the needs of a nonprofit organisation – from the online donation and payment processing to peer-to-peer fundraising and seamless integrations with existing tools.
