By and large, a business should focus on giving customers the best possible experience, if not, it should be created. Doing entrepreneurship for the greed of money is unquestionably a bad idea. In that regard, Robert Vis, Founder & CEO of MessageBird is certainly qualified to dish out some entrepreneurial advice.

Recently our founder and publisher, Remco Janssen met Robert Vis at the European Women In Tech conference at the RAI in Amsterdam, where MesssageBird’s founder and CEO shared his exclusive secret to success.

Forget about the money!

According to Robert Vis, it’s always best to chase your purpose/passion, but not money. He said, “You should never search for money. Instead, focus on your customers, build a product that they love, have a lot of customer base and money will find you. That’s the way to do it.”

For the starters, MessageBird is a leading cloud communications platform with its own telecommunications carrier infrastructure that connects over 15,000 enterprises to their global customers via the fastest and most reliable SMS, Voice and Chat APIs in the world.

At present, MessageBird is powered by a team of over 20 nationalities from offices in Amsterdam, San Francisco, Singapore, Sydney, London, Hamburg, and Shanghai.

Robert Vis on exit scenario!

When asked about the future plans, Robert vis, said, “Completely not focussed on it. I work every day focused on our customers, and that’s what drives everything.”

“If you’re trying to build a company, you need to focus on the right things. Put the customer first and focus on other things like being a good employer for the people around you, business metrics of the company and other important things.”

“Money is really significant if your company is not doing well. So at the moment, we’re not focused on money.”
