Dutch AI and speech technology startup Zoi Meet secures capital injection from Abu Dhabi-based Chimera Investment

Secures seed funding

The award winning AI and speech technology startup has now announced that is has completed the initial seed funding round led by Abu Dhabi based Chimera Investment along with participation from other angel investors including former Flow Traders co-CEO Sjoerd Rietberg and co-founders of Custom Connect, Jan Willem Meijer and Olav van Doorn.

The Dutch startup has also announced that the investment will be used to grow its business and client reach through further advancements of its proprietary speech technology and AI voice assistant that captures and processes enterprise communication for sales teams. Also, the company will also focus on growing its Deep Learning and Development teams.

How does it work?

Zoi Meet was founded in 2019 by Kevin Oranje and Nick Yap in Rotterdam. The company has developed its proprietary speech technology, which can outperform the accuracy of other standard speech engines including Amazon and Google. With its speech recognition technology, Zoi Meet customises and builds terminology that is industry-related and organisation-specific. Also, the technology assures high levels of security and privacy.

Itsz speech recognition technology enables the intelligent AI assistant to capture, process and analyse sales meetings, sales calls and other related audio files. It can connect with Zoom and Microsoft Teams among other platforms to enable automatic note taking, post-meeting follow-ups and live transcriptions.

Zoi Meet is a part of some of the world’s best startup programs such as TechStars, Microsoft for Startups, Plug and Play Japan, and T-Mobile’s 5G Acceleration Program. It also teamed up with Verizon 5G labs and Vuzix to launch the first Augmented Reality solution meant for language transcription. Also, new strategic partnerships with the most renowned companies in the unified communication space are in the pipeline.
