These days, mobiles apps startups is a flourishing business. These apps make it easier to handle everyday tasks. Making apps is something that many companies do but making simple apps is really tough and this is what EZ Factory, a Dutch startup aims to do.
EZ Factory was founded in 2017 by Randy Appiah and Robert Bouwman in Eindhoven. The company aims to simplify factory floor operations with digital solutions. EZ Factory develops mobile apps with a focus on continuous improvement within the production facilities.
Secures €550k growth capital
Now, the Eindhoven-based app developer has secured €550k funding from investors impressed by the business performance and potential of the apps. The first report was on Sprout. The company will use this funding to continue its growth and will empower operators in the factory. Also, it will be used for further development of software. EZ Factory aims to raise €2 to €3 million Series A funding by the end of this year along with its partner Roland Berger Tenzing.
What does it do?
EZ Factory’s visual apps are used in factories to digitise checklists, maintenance tasks and audits. The solution offers the possibility to setup work instructions and encourages operators to propose improvements to the existing standards. The app meets the requirements of employees in the production facilities including production managers, mechanics, lean managers, team leaders and operators.
Expansion of IT team
The company is eyeing to expand the IT team and is already on the lookout for suitable candidates for new IT positions. Recently, EZ Factory hired Igor de Mooij, a new senior business developer to improve safety on the factory floor, secure the quality of products and improve the efficiency of the production lines.
Eyes to improve sales capacity
EZ-GO appeared first in a factory in 2017 and more companies are discovering the same. These days, several large businesses use the app within their production environments. Already, EZ-GO has been embraced by companies such as British Steel, FrieslandCampina and Heineken. By improving sales capacity, the company can work with more clients and make it easier for them.
