German chatbot startup E-bot7 raises €5.5M, wants to answer consumer inquiries automatically with AI

AI or Artificial Intelligence seems to be the next frontier for science. It certainly seems that way since we are trying to create smarter systems everyday that can do more than humans ever could. The demand for advanced AI system isn’t going to drop anytime soon and the latest interest shown in this field by investors reiterates this notion. The Munich-based AI startup e-bot7 has secured €5.5 million in Series A funding, which will be utilised to further expand its reach in the European market. 

Founded in 2016, the AI startup e-bot7 quickly established itself as an innovative and notable AI provider in Europe. Recently, the company was also listed in Forbes magazine’s Top 10 AI Startups. Alongside delivering complex NLP algorithms and keeping implementation costs low, e-bot7 offers an AI hybrid solution. It also integrates AI into existing or new CRM systems to increase the efficiency of customer service operations. The company’s offering analyses incoming messages and forwards them to the right department. 

Investment details

As mentioned earlier, e-bot7 has managed to raise a total of €5.5 million in its latest round of funding. RTP Global, an early investor in companies like Yandex, Delivery Hero, and more, is an exciting investor that has again pitched in, along with 42CAP, the Main Incubator, Commerzbank’s early-stage investor, and a leading private investor. The funds will be utilised for expanding the company’s technology and business team, in order to enable customers to implement AI in their customer service systems and make it more efficient. 

The founding members

The founding team of e-bot7 consists of Fabian Beringer, Xaver Lehmann and Maximilian Gerer, who have been included in the Forbes “30 Under 30” list. They are also the founding members of the KI-Bundesverband e.V. (KI Federal Association) for promoting AI on a political level. In addition, the founders are mentor renowned programs such as the Founders Institute in Silicon Valley, TechFounders, InsurTech Hub and more.

That’s why we’ve built a plug and play solution that can be used directly by companies without any development and IT effort,” say e-bot7 founders Fabian Beringer and Xaver Lehmann.
