Alledaags NL (meaning Everyday), a digital agency based in the Northern Netherlands region of Groningen just raised half a million euros from the Nextgen Ventures. Everyday (Alledaags) will use the funding proceeds to further develop a unique, intelligent learning environment for health care. The platform will be used by healthcare professionals for post-education training courses.

Everyday’s track record

Everyday’s track record has been impressive since the agency was founded 5 years ago. The agency has built high-end websites, apps, and platforms including Squla app, a national learning platform for primary school students. It also revamped and renewed the renowned theater, music, parties, and top sports website called MartiniPlaza.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare

According to a research by Report Thinker, Europe’s AI in the healthcare industry is projected to reach USD9,330 million with a growth rate of 39 percent over 2017-2024. Thus, a massive opportunity is up for grabs for the innovative companies.

From medical imaging and diagnosing skin cancer to digital pathology, the use of different AI techniques has gained momentum. Everyday has been quick to develop a platform that fills a key gap in the market, that is the lack of personalized teaching and practice courses in healthcare

A learning platform for radiologists

In partnership with University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and Center of Medical Imaging (CMIs), Everyday developed a learning platform for radiologists to learn how to screen for lung cancer in order to prevent 20% of the avoidable deaths.

In addition to the ambition to let people learn smarter, developing with this unique new learning material is doubly amazing. Thanks to the investment of Nextgen Ventures, we are able to launch our learning environment as an Everyday. We are proud to share our ambitions with the UMCG and to contribute to the fight against lung cancer,” said Antje Meindersma, co-founder of Everyday.

Everyday has put the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) subsidy to good use. Together with the help of UMCG, the agency made a simulation platform which helps radiologists to practice ‘cancer diagnosis’. By going through these cases, radiologists teach themselves the Nelson protocol, where they screen for lung cancer in a different way.
