Heyflow, a Hamburg-based startup that provides no-code software to build, design, and integrate click flows to boost customer conversions, secured $6M (approx €5.1M) funding in a Seed round led by Project A Ventures.
Existing backers Atlantic Labs and Possible Ventures and several angel investors, including Philipp Westermeyer (OMR), also participated.
Fund utilisation
According to the company, the raised funds will be used to support go-to-market and product development efforts.
“From small businesses to large organizations, everyone needs a great user experience, but only a few of us can code,” says Amir Bohnenkamp, Co-Founder of Heyflow. “The idea of clickflows is to build something super easy that people can engage with without having to type, because typing is a conversion killer, especially on mobile phones. We want to provide an experience that resonates with peoples’ habits and lifestyles to quickly get them onboard. With a no-code platform like Heyflow, companies can level the playing field when it comes to optimizing their conversion rates.”
Project A: What you need to know
Based out of Berlin, Project A is an early-stage venture capital firm that combines financial and operational support for technology companies. It has $600M in assets under management and provides its portfolio companies with a wide range of operational support services.
Dr. Anton Waitz, General Partner at Project A, says, “No-code platforms are seeing very strong momentum, as they offer great opportunities for smaller companies without significant engineering capacity. Amir and Dustin are driven by their mission to build a highly intuitive drag and drop product that helps their users to better acquire, convert, and onboard customers. Heyflow has seen enthusiastic first demand in the market – and we strongly believe it can become a clear leader in the space.”
What makes Heyflow unique?
Founded in 2020 by Dustin Jaacks and Amir Bohnenkamp, Heyflow provides companies with a platform to build, design, and integrate interactive clickflows in a single platform without the need to write a single line of code.
The company aims to simplify customer interactions using customisable templates and/or drag and drop interfaces that let even a non-technical user build conversational and graphical flows to gather information from visitors to a website.
Heyflow says the development of clickflows comes at the expense of high engineering efforts like rule automation and interactiveness of a bot builder, design flexibility, and the conversion intelligence of an advanced analytics tool.
With its platform, the German company enables organisations to create an ideal user experience and raise conversion levels by building personalised, interactive clickflows for sales, marketing, and recruiting purposes within a few hours.
Use cases include onboarding and signup flows as well as lead generation and customer retention funnels in financial services, insurance, and recruiting.
Since its soft launch in January this year, the company claims to have acquired hundreds of paying customers in more than 15 countries.
