Founded in 2000 by Jitse Groen at a family party, the Dutch food delivery service has catered over 78 million orders in the past 12 months and has raised a gross value of merchandise worth €1.5 billion along with a turnover of €200 million in 12 months until June 30, 2018. Undoubtedly, Thuisbezorgd.nl has witnessed tremendous growth since its debut. Though it started with many challenges ahead such as inadequate internet users, the introduction of broadband internet and smartphones helped it garner traction.
