On this day seven years ago, Silicon Canals was launched. And it has been a remarkable journey so far, mostly because of the support of each of our readers.

Who are we, again? 

We, Silicon Canals, is an English language technology media source for the Benelux and wider Europe area. We cover news, knowledge, and insights from the European technology and startup ecosystem, providing a growing number of tech and startup communities with invaluable and indispensable information.

We’ve evolved a lot in these seven years, much like the Dutch startup ecosystem. Over the years, Silicon Canals grew significantly, and we expanded our curiosity about tech startup communities from the Netherlands to every nook and corner of Europe.

A couple of years back, London-based real-estate firm, Savills published a report on the fastest-growing cities in the world based on various categories including, business environment, tech environment, city buzz & wellness, talent pool, real estate costs, and mobility.
