Last update:

After successfully launching its first Foodtech Program in Rome, Startupbootcamp has now announced it will host its second Foodtech program in Eindhoven. The startup accelerator with the space bar-allergy is specifically looking for up to 10 Agritech and FoodTech startups that provide sustainable solutions to the pressures the Global food system is currently facing.

FastTrack Tour of Europe

The Foodcampbootcamp promises to be an intense 3-month accelerator program for all participating startups. At the end there will be a Demoday where the companies pitch their products to an audience of investors, partners and mentors. In order to present itself to Foodtech startups around the continent, Startupbootcamp FoodTech Eindhoven’s Managing Director Edwin de Zeeuw will go on an international FastTrack Tour of Europe to reach startups in London, Kiev, Berlin, Paris, Tel Aviv, Lisbon and again Rome. At these events curious startups can receive in-depth information about the program. The accelerator is looking for startups in the below key areas:

Global Affair

The accelerator picked Rome as the city to run its first Foodtech program due to Italy’s position as a global leader in top culinary experience and food excellence. The program kicked off on November 21st and it is now in full swing. With four startups from Italy along with startups from Indonesia, Colombia, Spain, Croatia, Ireland and the UK, the first Foodtech is definitely a global affair. The Demo Day will take place on the 10th of March.

Ideal Test Market

While Rome is an obvious choice for a FoodTech program, Eindhoven has less of a reputation as a culinary capital of the world. Startupbootcamp specifically picked a Dutch city as it considers the Netherlands an ideal test market. And when you know the country is also the third-biggest exporter of Food processing machinery in the world, then it suddenly makes perfect sense. The Southeast of the country specifically has a big focus on agri & food, which explains the choice for Brabant’s techhub on the rise as the city to host Startupbootcamp’s next Foodtechventure.
