Swedish healthech startup Lifesum bags €4.5M funding from Barlderton Capital

Lifesum, a Stockholm-based digital health startup is a nutrition app. It works across different devices such as smartphones, wearables and connected devices. This app offers personalised meal plans as well as healthy recipes. It also provides users with features such as nutritional insights, food tracking and more.

Raises $5 million funding

In a recent move, Lifesum has got $5 million (nearly €4.5 million) funding. The funding round was led by Balderton Captial’s Liquidity I fund. Since its inception, this startup has raised a total of €19.7 million from investors such as Bauer Media, SparkLabs Global Ventures, Draper Esprit and NGP Capital.

Adds 2 million users in 2019!

Besides the funding, the healthtech startup also announced that it has acquired over 35 million users all over the world. Of the overall user base, it is touted that 2 million were added in 2019. This Swedish healthtech startup reminds you to drink more water and suggests exercise and nutritional habits. Eventually, it is preferred by millions of users.

Lifesum was founded in 2013 by Henrik Torstensson and Marcus Gners. While it is based in Stockholm, it is a leading health app in other countries including Germany, France, Italy, Russia and Scandinavia. Also, its offices are located in Stockholm and Los Angeles.
