What is Viva Tech?

Co-organized by Publicis Groupe and Groupe Les Echos, VivaTech is the world’s rendezvous for startups and leaders to celebrate innovation. This international event, dedicated to the growth of startups, digital transformation and innovation, will take place from 16-18 May 2019 at Porte de Versailles in Paris.

Furthermore, the Viva Technology 2019 will bring together startups, business leaders and executives, investors, academics, students and media from around the globe.

In this regard, we have jotted down a list of 10 European scaleups at Viva Technology 2019 you should not miss in Paris this week.

METRON (Paris, France)

Founder: Vincent Sciandra

METRON is a leading provider of artificial intelligence algorithms to reduce the energy consumption of industrial plants. It provides a virtual mapping of the energy used in industrial processes. Through machine learning algorithms and dedicated knowledge bases, it allows companies to predict and proactively reduce energy consumption to reduce costs and achieve regulatory compliance. Based in Paris, METRON is active in Europe, Latin America and the Middle-East and Singapore. Back in 2017, METRON joined the EIT Digital Accelerator to reinforce its European development.

CopSonic (Montauban, France)

Founder: Emmanuel Ruiz

CopSonic is a technology that allows sending secured encrypted data between two devices through sound waves. The CopSonic technology is a new universal contactless communication protocol for digital security, smart detection and IoT connectivity. The authentication and control of the system occur on CopSonic’s online and offline platforms. French scaleup, CopSonic joined the EIT Digital Accelerator back in May 2017 to accelerate their plans for growth and gain access to new European markets and financing.

EasyBroadcast (Nantes, France)

Founder: Soufiane Rouibia and Mohsen Haddad

EasyBroadcast offers an innovative end-to-end OTT solution for broadcasters and enterprises. This startup solves the cost and quality challenges to stream video and audio content over the Internet or enterprise networks with its patented hybrid streaming technology. Notably, this improves the quality of streaming, reducing churn, making viewers spend more time watching content and reducing infrastructure costs and dependency. The company also won second place in EIT Digital Challenge 2018 under “Digital Infrastructure” category.

ProGlove (Munich, Germany)

Founders: Alexander Grots, Jonas Girardet, Paul Günther, Thomas Kirchner

ProGlove develops smart gloves that enable manufacturing and logistics staff to work faster, safer and easier. ProGlove’s IIoT wearables are an almost natural extension of the workers’ tools, giving them a decisive edge by strengthening their role in the digitized industry 4.0. The ergonomic design and the plug & play approach keep the entry barriers for users extremely low. The company won second prize in EIT Digital Challenge 2016 award under “Digital Industry” category.

Evolution Energie (Paris, France)

CEO: Erwin Guizouarn

Evolution Energie provides expert energy management software to energy suppliers and industrials to manage and optimize their portfolio. The company’s software solutions are monitoring 6% of the European Union’s energy consumption. Evolution Energie was admitted in the EIT Digital Accelerator in 2014, in the Digital Infrastructure Action Line. The EIT Digital Accelerator helps the company to reinforce its expertise by addressing two new airports: the Nice airport in France and Stansted airport in the UK.

Vaonis is a French society specialized in the research and development of a new generation of telescopes. After three years of development, a team of dedicated professionals has created Stellina, a first-of-its-kind telescope inviting stargazers from all around the world to explore the wonders of the cosmos.

HYPERSUIT is a startup dedicated to design highly immersive gaming experiences through innovative hardware and software. Hypersuit is an advanced motion capture and haptic feedback device that delivers superhuman capabilities in virtual worlds.

Bin-e (Poland)

Founders: Jakub Lubonski, Marcin Łotysz

BIN-e is a smart building solution company that provides a smart waste bin for office and public spaces. It uses a set of sensors to identify the type of waste that is being disposed of, segregates the waste, compresses it, and places it in the relevant chamber.

The integrated computer gathers data about every item that is disposed of. This data is then uploaded on the database. The waste management company is notified on time when to collect the contents of full chambers.
