Right from voice assistant in smartphones to self-driving cars, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has not only overhauled the way we interact, but it is also one of the hottest new technologies on the block!
Are you an AI and Blockchain enthusiast searching for best practices to enhance your skills? Then, here’s a chance for you to join a line of mentors who are experts in the industry and could support your idea at IBM’s Developer Day on 21st November.
The Developer Day will be an inspiring event designed for developers to enhance their skills and gain practical experience with the most recent technologies in AI by IBM and Open Source technologies through hands-on workshops. The first session is focused on ‘Trust and Transparency in AI’ (read about AI OpenScale), whereas the second session is all about Blockchain technology.
Tanmay Bakshi: AI expert, developer and keynote speaker
The 14-year-old AI expert and prodigy Tanmay Bakshi will be gracing the event with his session. Bakshi, previously a TEDx speaker, will be talking about the various advantages of machine learning technology. During an email conversation with Silicon Canals, he pointed out “at Developers’ Day, I’ll be talking about the journey I took from conventional application development to machine learning-powered app development. I’ll also be talking about how this machine learning technology is meant to help us, as developers, to code in more efficient ways.”
He added, “I’m currently working on creating “Code Patterns” with the developer advocacy team at IBM – which are essentially “building blocks” of code that developers can use to learn how to build new technology. The best way to learn is by example: imagine having a step-by-step walkthrough of how to build a full-fledged movie recommendation system on Watson Studio using Turi Create; with over 20,000,000 rows of data! That’s what code patterns help you accomplish.” Read more about Code Patterns here.
What’s in it for me?
Tanmay says “I think the main reason that IBM Developer’s Day is important because it enables developers to be on the cutting edge of technology – so they’re up-to-date and aware of everything that’s going on in the industry. With the rapid changes in the world of technology, it’s important to make sure you’re ready – ready to use and implement this next-generation technology like IBM Watson, Cloud, Blockchain, and more. Plus, they get to meet and network with developers and IBMers who could help you solve the problems.”
