Amsterdam-based Techleap.nl, a non-profit publicly funded organisation aimed at accelerating the tech ecosystem in the Netherlands, announced on Monday, November 21, that it is launching an Investor Advisory Board.
In order to improve access to finance and accelerate the growth of Dutch entrepreneurs, the Investor Advisory Board will use its knowledge and network to overcome financing gaps in the Dutch IT ecosystem. According to a statement from Techleap, the newly appointed advisory board has over 100 years of experience in tech, including 60 years in venture capital.
Member of the Advisory Board
The five-member Investor Advisory Board includes Pieter Kemps, Principal at Sequoia Capital; Robert Verwaayen, Partner at Keen Venture Partners; Michael Jackson, Partner at Cottonwood Technology Fund; Ilonka Jankovich, Venture Partner at Rubio Impact Ventures; and, Michiel Kotting, Partner at Northzone.
These professionals span a wide range of industries, including deeptech, healthcare, AI, B2B SaaS, and marketplaces. They have VC experience in Europe, the US, and Asia across numerous fundraising phases.
The new Investor Advisory Board will offer advice and a network to enable Techleap to give strong support to the Dutch tech-founders scene in light of pressure on the global economy and less favourable valuations for startups and scaleups in many areas.
Evelien de Vries, Lead Capital and Investor Relations at Techleap.nl, says, “We’re extremely happy with the people who have joined this board. Each and every one of them are top investors from well-known and influential funds and most have been founders themselves. And this is critical for Techleap, as their experience and knowledge will not only support founders but help pave the way for their success outside our programmes.”
