Why this collaboration?

With this collaboration, Veltra will be integrating Tiqets‘ technology into their own platform to extend the reach and boosts the competitiveness of both the brands. In addition to the original quality content, technological capabilities, this tie-up offers the unique suite of Tiqets products to the Japanese market as well.

“Tiqets is an exciting company, able to fulfil last minute and mobile tickets for all the iconic venues in the world. They were a natural fit for us.” – Wataru Futagi, CEO Veltra Corporation.

“We’re delighted with this new strategic partnership and the opportunity to spread even more amazing cultural experiences with people around the world.” – Luuc Elzinga, CEO Tiqets.

Tiqets – easy-to-use mobile ticketing

Headquartered in Amsterdam, Tiqets was founded in 2014 by four Dutch entrepreneurs in an attempt to change the way visitors get into museums and cultural attractions. They wanted to accelerate the process with easy-to-use mobile ticketing. Thus born ‘Tiqets’.

Raised $22.5 million!

It’s worth mentioning here that Tiqets app and website includes the world’s most iconic museums and attractions from all over the world. So far, the company has raised $22.5 million in funding over five rounds. Moreover, Tiqets has offices in various place including Amsterdam (HQ), Barcelona, Paris, Rome, London, Vienna, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Bangkok.

VELTRA

Founded in 1991, VELTRA is one of the world’s first Online Travel Agents, offering hundreds of tours and activities for travellers around the globe. Also, VELTRA has offices in Japan (HQ), USA, China, France, UK, Italy, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Korea.

The growth of the online travel market is driven by various factors including the increasing Internet penetration, varieties of travel options online and more. Amidst, there is a heightened sense of confidence among people in using mobile payments as well. Since most of the traveller’s age group of 22 to 31 years are more inclined, online travel agency should come across various vacation packages, discounts, cash back and more to grow their brand as well as travel standards.
