Amsterdam-based Mailsociety, a startup that claims to change the way we use e-mails, announced on Wednesday that it has now been listed in the App Store. The startup’s founders, Niels van Meurs and Dave Hoeks, believe that the full potential of the communication method has yet to be unlocked.
The Dutch startup says it is supported by ideas and talent with an international scope, from France to Luxembourg, and Ukraine to Portugal.
Mailsociety was also chosen for the Google for Startups track, took part in The Web Summit’s Alpha Program, and travelled to Lisbon with the Dutch Startup Mission delegation before its official launch in the App Store.
“The Future of E-mail”
Market giants like Google and Microsoft largely use e-mail for business purposes. However, Mailsociety concentrates on its features in a leisure setting. This includes everything from online shopping to vacation reservations, and from subscribing to newsletters to getting delivery notifications. Mailsociety aims to engage with the younger generation, which may now feel alienated from the media, by concentrating on this section.
