These sizzling startups found success at the Accenture Innovation Awards 2018

At times, there are lots of possibilities for a company to be both big and innovative. In a pursuit to identify the innovative companies, Accenture is hosting an Accenture Innovation Awards 2018.

Recently, the company has announced the 40 finalists for the Accenture Innovation Awards 2018. The awards for the annual innovation competition for startups are presented this year in eight categories, with five start-up finalists per category.

Over 80 semi-finalists pitched during the Innovation Expo 2018 in Rotterdam and based on this, the category juries selected five finalists for each category. The Accenture Innovation Awards 2018 will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018, in DeFabrique in Utrecht. The winner will get assistance from Accenture for their innovative products and solutions, and a network to roll them out further.

The Accenture Innovation Awards are a great way to keep up, but also to discover new opportunities and opportunities for customers and bring them into contact with successful start-up initiatives in their field. On November 2, the best of them will compete for one of the coveted Accenture Innovation Awards. ”

We have listed compiled the list of the finalist in category wise below.

Climate

SPONSH: The team has developed a temperature-sensitive smart textile called “Sponsh” that produces water from air without adding energy. When the air temperature rises, the textile becomes water-repellent and releases the collected water.

Coolfinity IceVolt 500: An energy and sound-saving refrigerator that works on an ‘ice battery’. The battery has a charging time of 6 hours to keep the refrigerator running for 24 hours.

Etulipa: An energy-efficient digital advertising screen to display dynamic content outside, where LEDs are unnecessary.

eShift: It’s a software that helps companies to buy energy efficiently by responding smartly to fluctuating electricity prices.

Education

Incision Academy: A platform where surgeons can share and improve knowledge and skills with video and AR/VR.

AcaBoo: An online platform on which students have access to digital textbooks for a fixed monthly fee.

Wizenoze: An age-based platform for schools and pupils that offers information from reliable sources at five levels of readability.

Sense Glove: An VR/AR tool in the shape of a glove that makes virtual objects tangible.

Helpr: A chatbot as a personal assistant, who gives students on-demand answers to homework questions in a didactic manner.

Finance

Agri-wallet: A blockchain platform that offers small-scale farmers loan and savings opportunities for specific purposes that stimulate agricultural production.

Attrace: A decentralized affiliate marketing platform that contains a blockchain to register and monitor each ad.

Budlr: A platform that provides insight into the household budget and helps organizations to advise their clients financially.

Dyme: A solution for managing subscriptions and saving costs.

SafeNed: A digital solution that enables organizations to quickly identify customers in order to prevent fraud.

Health

SpeakSee: A microphone technology that accurately records conversations, identifies different speakers and converts them into text for hard-of-hearing or deaf people.

Usono Probefix: A smart solution to fixate ultrasound transducers to the body to enable hands-free and continuous imaging of the heart.

Livassured: The Nightwatch is a bracelet that measures the heartbeat and movement of the wearer and warns care providers in epileptic seizures.

Nori Health: An AI chatbot coach for patients with chronic diseases. Nori learns everything that causes symptoms, the more you talk to Nori, the better the questions and the advice become.

BI/OND: the versatile organ-on-chip: An ‘Organ on Chip’ (OOC) solution that ultimately helps to predict a course of disease through which better medicines can be used.

Living & Working

Expivi: A 3D product configurator to show products in the webshop in 360 degrees to provide a new shopping experience.

Temper: Digital marketplace where freelancers come into contact with and get started with catering companies.

Etulipa: An energy-efficient digital advertising screen to display dynamic content outside, where LEDs are unnecessary.

Lilian Water Analysis System: Measuring instrument that measures the water quality of swimming pools and displays results via a smartphone and gives tips.

Yugen (Xetal): A system that detects the presence and position of people in a room in real-time by means of sensors.

Mobility

Wireless charging: A wireless charging system for electric vehicles.

D-rail: A system with sensors to analyze railways to prevent accidents and congestion in rail traffic.

Brenger: A platform to bring people who need transport for their large objects into contact with couriers who travel the same route.

Tranzer: A travel planner and transport ticket for a public transport route of several carriers in one app.

ParkWise: An intelligent parking platform and app that shows the availability of parking spaces and short-term forecasts in real-time.

Food
