Take Your Container to Work Day

Come and take part in ‘Take Your Container to Work Day’ event to understand more about containers and Kubernetes. The event is scheduled to take place on June 6th, 2019. By attending the event, you will be able to learn how the technology adds value to your company, what are the tools and competencies you need to get started with it and much more. Alongside discussions about the tech, some companies will also share their first experiences with Kubernetes and containers in a panel discussion, enabling one to expand their knowledge even further.

Who is the event for?

The Take Your Container to Work Day event is exclusively aimed at DevOps engineers, Lead Developers and decision makers of SaaS parties and (medium-sized) digital agencies. Since there are a limited number of seats available, the company hosting the event can refuse registration submissions in case they do not meet the participant profile. One will receive a final confirmation from the organisation or a response to your registration when it is successful.

Don’t miss the expert talk!

As you might have noticed, three notable personalities will be delivering talks during the event. Bas Rookhuijzen, the Head of Marketing at Google Cloud Benelux will speak on how one of the biggest companies in the world views the use of open-source Kubernetes and how organisations can make the best use of it. Rookhuijzen will also share some Kubernetes fail stories so that one knows how to avoid such scenarios.

The second exclusive talk will be delivered by Nick Groenen, who is a Site Reliability Engineer at Castor EDC, which one of the fastest growing scaleup in the Dutch healthcare sector. The company’s cloud-based Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platform makes it possible for medical researchers to collect data without requiring elaborate training or technical skills and it employed EDC Kubernetes for a number of pilots. Groenen will talk about the lessons learned from the pilots and the follow-up steps of this scale-up.

Daniël de Groot, who is the Teamlead for Containers & Kubernetes at True will deliver the third talk. He documented the failures developers face while working with Kubernetes and developed a private beta program for covering this. In his talk, the executive will share the insights gained from the private beta and how they are being employed to create Managed Kubernetes environments.

In addition to the invaluable knowledge one will gain by attending the events and the panel talks, True, the company executing the event, will show off its new Managed Kubernetes service.
