Here are the 13 top-funded Dutch startups of November 2018

The Dutch startup ecosystem is a major attraction for many innovative entrepreneurs and investors. With the consistent evolution of the startup business in this region, more and more investors are coming forward to make investments to motivate the entrepreneurs and help them expand and grow. Usually, the funding that startups raise is channeled for the global expansion, development of products and services and more.

As this month is coming to an end, we have come up with an array of Dutch startups that raised funding in any form so far in November 2018. Take a look at the list from below.

#1 Bidroom – โ‚ฌ15 million

Bidroom, a Dutch travel startup, which is a rival to Booking.com raised โ‚ฌ15 million funding in the last week. There is no information regarding the investors for now. Founded in 2014 by Casper Knieriem and Michael Ros, this funding will be used for the product development as the company is in plans to improve its operational capacity.

#2 Bitfury – โ‚ฌ70 million

Amsterdam-based Bitfury, a full-service blockchain technology developer raised a funding of nearly โ‚ฌ70 million ($80 million). The investment came from Switzerland-based Final Frontier, a blockchain and cryptocurrency investment firm. Bitfury was founded in 2011 by Valery Vavilov and aims to enter the market segments such as AI and other emerging technologies.

#3 Closure – โ‚ฌ300K

Women-led Dutch startup Closure raised โ‚ฌ300K seed funding this month to accelerate the growth of its SaaS platform. Founded by Chantal van der Velde & Graciรซlla van Hamersveld, this Rotterdam-based startup offers a digital platform for users to cancel all their subscriptions in one place.

#4 Eco-movement – โ‚ฌ200K

Dutch startup Eco-movement founded by Roderick van den Berg raised โ‚ฌ200K from Arches Capital, an angel investment group this month. The startup delivers real-time point of interest data on public charge points for the electric cars. The funding will help the company initiate its products and services and trigger an energy transition.

#5 Crisp – โ‚ฌ3 million

Earlier this month, Crisp, an app-only supermarket secured the largest seed funding round in Benelux three years by raising โ‚ฌ3 million seed capital. Launched in November by its founders Tom Peeters, Michiel Roodenburg, Renรฉ Bink and Eric Klaassen, Crisp aims to deliver the freshest products to its customers directly from the source.

#6 Lithium Werks – โ‚ฌ1.15 billion

Dutch startup Lithium Werks raised a funding of โ‚ฌ1.15 billion ($1.3 billion) in mid-November. This startup has been credited to provide wholesome energy storage solutions as it designs and manufactures lithium-ion battery as well as portable power equipment products.

#7 SecurityMatters – โ‚ฌ100 million

Recently, SecurityMatters was acquired by ForeScout for โ‚ฌ100 million ($113 million). The Dutch cybersecurity company claims that this acquisition will reinforce its visibility and control and expand its capabilities. Notably, SecurityMatters founded in 2009 by Damiano Bolzoni, Sandro Etalle and Emmanuele Zambon is supported by EIT Digital.

#8 Framer – โ‚ฌ21 million

Framer, an Amsterdam-based interactive design prototyping startup secured a funding of โ‚ฌ21 million ($24 million) from Atomico along with Accel and AngelList in a series B round. Founded in 2013 by Koen Bok and Jorn Dijk, this startup also announced the beta launch of a new private design store for teams.

#9 Tiqets – โ‚ฌ20 million

Tiqets, a ticketing platform announced that it secured โ‚ฌ20 million ($23 million) funding this month. It was founded by Luuc Elzinga in 2014 in Amsterdam. Tiqets is a scaleup with its presence in Bangkok, Paris, Rome, London, Philadelphia, Barcelona and Vienna.

#10 srprs.me – โ‚ฌ900K

Dutch surprise online travel agency srprs.me recently completed its crowdfunding campaign closing โ‚ฌ900k investment. The Amsterdam-based startup was founded by Raymond Klompsma. It will use the growth capital to automate the systems, increase its market share and make a more sustainable supply.

#11 Factris – โ‚ฌ1.5 million

Factris, an Amsterdam-based startup raised a capital funding of โ‚ฌ1.5 million from Speedinvest Fintech. Factris provides an online invoice factoring platform aimed at the European SMEs. The invoices can be paid on the same business day when they were uploaded via this platform.

#12 Fastned – โ‚ฌ11 million

Fastned has raised over โ‚ฌ11 million earlier this month via the issue of bonds. This investment will be used for the further growth and expansion of its network in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the U.K. The startup operates with the intention to accelerate the transition to electric mobility.

#13 Dyme

Dyme, a fast-growing fintech startup based in Amsterdam has secured its first investmentย from ASIF (Amsterdam Student Investment Fund). With the funding from the student-run venture capital fund, the startup will expand its application all through the Netherlands.
