French startup Toucan Toco has designed a SaaS data storytelling solution to convert complex data into comprehensive visuals. This solution helps companies make valuation decisions and tweak their strategies to reach new heights.
Established in 2014 by Baptiste Jourdan, Kilian Bazin, David Nowinsky, and Charles Miglietti, Toucan Toco specialises in the data storytelling field with its solution. Eventually, it has expanded from France and stepped into the Netherlands last year. This expansion has made the startup make data accessible to many people instead of having it limited to data scientists and analysts.
Secures first-ever funding
Toucan Toco just announced that it has completed its first-ever funding of €12 million in a round led by Balderton Capital. The startup will use this investment to accelerate global expansion within Europe and the US. Furthermore, the company will also focus on developing new and ready-to-use applications.
Provides actionable insights
Toucan Toco provides companies with its data storytelling solution, which provides actionable insights to HR directors, CxOs, operational staff, and financial managers. It can be accessed by everyone and there is no need to learn a new language to use it. Well, the Toucan Toco interface features a drag-and-drop format alongside preset data visualisation templates that can be connected to multiple data sources easily.
In five years, the French startup has developed a wide range of clientele including BNP Paribas, Engie, Renault Nissan, l’Oreal, Credit Agricole, Sodexo, Marques Avenue, and Elior among others. The company has helped big companies reach up to 90% high end-user adoption rates.
Aggressive expansion plans
While it is already present in four countries in Europe and the US, the data storytelling platform has aggressive expansion plans, especially in the West. In 2020, the company intends to double its team in the US.
Along with expanding its presence globally, Toucan Toco is in plans to extend its tech into fintech, IT, and HR services too. The startup plans to roll out a new self-service dubbed “business in a box” that will provide a range of ready-to-use data storytelling templates.
